David Finlayson MacSwan—Director

Training: Graduate of NIDA, the Sydney Acting School and Master of Creative Arts University of Wollongong, currently working towards a PhD at UNSW. He founded and has directed all productions for Shakespeare By the Sea: For Iron Cove Theatre: The Red Devils, Much Ado About Nothing. For SWYLI Tie Co: Romeo & Juliet, Othello, Macbeth. For Thomas Productions: You, The Night and the House Wine. For Shakespeare in the Park Macbeth. As an actor numerous TV appearances for ABC TV and Grundy’s. On stage: the role of Falstaff in Henry 4 parts 1 & 2, Shylock in The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, Richard in Richard III, Duke Vincentio in Measure For Measure and Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare in The Shakespeare Trial for SHIPA. Also for SHIPA he wrote, directed and acted the role of Shakespeare in A Great Reckoning In A Little Room.
